My first Less is More Challenge...

Morning

Well the sun is shining again and I just couldn't stay in bed.

Not only have I re-started my blog this week (hadn't put anything on it since 2008!) but I'm also joining in my first challenge. With that in mind, I couldn't resist joining probably the best challenge around, Less is More. I've been following the blog since it started and have just loved seeing what everyone was making, the cards are so inspirational. The theme this week over at
Less is More is A One Layer Card with the Sentiment as the focus of your creation. So here's my first attempt.

I'm not altogether happy, I think the black sentiment needs toning down, so maybe I'll have a play at changing the colour. Lots of white space and just a little ribbon accent. The image is a freebie from
Digital Delights.

Thanks for the great challenge and I look forward to joining in next week.

Shirley

Well I like it!! I think the Easter sentiment is bold and beautiful, and the bunny just the right accent.

I think you could be right, that a lighter colour would work (same on mine - should have used grey) - and if you get the chance I'd love to see it in different colours.

Welcome to LIM - you're going to be totally addicted now! I am :))

What a cute card!
I think it looks hard as the black is 'fighting' with the soft pink of the ribbon. Without the ribbon, whilst will seem very plain to you I think it would work better. no offence just my humble opinion...doesn't mean I m right!
Can I welcome you to Less is More, its great you have joined us and hope you do again. We have a great bunch of 'LIMettes' who will visit you, hope you will do the same.
Chrissie and I offer our advice, never meant with any malice, just the way we see it and people express 'wanting to learn'
See you again Shirley

Hi Shirley,
Welcome to "Less is More"!
I'd really like to thank your for your flattering words about our challenge... you are very kind.
I'd also like to wish you all success with the resumption of your blogging!
Your card is cute, big and bold and could take a bold ribbon... or none at all as Mandi said!
I really hope you'll be a regular LIMette and we'll look forward to seeing you next week.
If you could remove the Word Verification that would make commenters jobs much easier.
Thanks
Chrissie

I think the sentiment is fine in bold black. It looks great with the rabbit with his little pink nose! Welcome back to Blogland!
